Vert Val SRL, a parks and gardens company based in La Hulpe (Brabant Wallon), has just acquired a 2-hectare site dedicated to plants in Hoeilaart, on the edge of the Soignes forest. We are looking for someone who will make it their playground: an experienced horticultural gardener, capable of managing the site on a daily basis and bringing it to life with the rhythm of the seasons and events.
Your mission
You will become the reference for our horticultural spaces, mainly on the 2-hectare site in Hoeilaart, with occasional interventions in La Hulpe. Specifically:
Site management and development
- Develop and structure the site: cultivation areas, plant storage, presentation spaces
- Ensure daily horticultural maintenance: planting, watering, pruning, repotting, plant protection
- Monitor the health of plants and trees (phytosanitary monitoring — plant health) and intervene in time
Enhancement of plants
- Showcase plants and trees intended for sale and landscaping projects
- Prepare plants for events and fairs held at various times of the year
- Ensure consistent quality: a plant leaving the site is a plant in perfect condition
Your profile
- Training in horticulture, arboriculture or green space management (professional CESS, IFAPME or equivalent) — or proven experience in the parks and gardens sector
- Solid knowledge of plants: you recognise the species, you know their needs
- Expertise in ornamental trees and environmental trees is a real plus
- Independent and organised: the site runs thanks to you, within the framework defined with management
- Comfortable with physical outdoor work, all year round
- Driving licence B essential; licence BE or phytolicence are advantages
- Knowledge of Dutch is a plus (site located in Hoeilaart), but not a requirement
